We are pleased to announce that the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Centre (IDIBELL)has confirmed that it will appear at HEALTHIO 2018.
IDIBELL is a center comprising Bellvitge University Hospital and Viladecans Hospital of the Catalan Health Institute, the Catalan Institute of Oncology, University of Barcelona,and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council. It focuses its research work on cancer, neuroscience, and translational medicine.
As you know, HEALTHIO is a Fira de Barcelona platform covering the entire health ecosystem, where participants can learn about, test out, and experienceinnovations at the leading edge of health.
Patients/Citizens, Health Workers, Innovators themselves, and any other parties interested in health and wellbeing can find different HEALTHIO-Itineraries in this Innovation Arenato discover and trial the latest sector advances.
All the itineraries end with a Healthio ‘agora’, where the HEALTHIO Chats-Agoras are held. These chats have a highly interactive format and run for around 10-15 minutes (exceptionally 30 minutes, depending on the chat).
At the agoras you can listen to patients, health workers, innovators, health entrepreneurs, small and large companies. THEY are ALL represented in order to deliver enhanced health outcomes.
IDIBELL director Dr. Gabriel Capelláand director of the Barcelona Regenerative Medicine Centre (CMR[B]) Dr. Ángel Rayahave already confirmed their presence at the Chats-Agora, speaking on “Interpretation of DNA Variants for the Treatment of Hereditary Cancer on the Basis of Stem Cell Reprogramming” and“Stem Cells that Could Avoid Heart Transplants”, respectively.
HEALTHIO SECOND EDITION:
The second edition of HEALTHIO is drawing nearer and preparations are already under way.
HEALTHIO 2018 will be held at Fira de Barcelona from 16 to 18 October. Many of the participants of the first edition in 2017 have confirmed they will be back and numerous new health workers, innovators, patient groups, institutions, and companies have also said they will take part in HEALTHIO 2018.
